Back from Brazil
This post has been a long time coming, actually: We’re back from Brazil, since around three weeks already. It’s been great, even though I didn’t take my DSLR with me for security reasons. So these two and a half weeks have also been a new experience for me photography-wise, being dependent on my iPhone and the GoPro. For post-editing, I finally checked out the app Enlight and I’m really satisfied with it. You can go Instagram-filter-vintage-polaroid-crazy with it, but Enlight also provides you with all the basic the tools you wish for as a semi-professional photographer.
So basically, equipped with a reasonable smartphone camera (which the iPhone 6s’ certainly is) and a proper editing tool for mobile, you’re actually not that limited. Using the panorama mode, you can even get a reasonable resolution to your shots. I’ve learned a lot during the time in Brazil and actually enjoyed the challenge of being stripped down gear-wise. It forces you to focus on framing, subject and possible post-editing even more. Can’t wait for the next trip!
