Beautiful Bavaria #3
This weekend, my wife and I took another trip to explore the Bavarian countryside. Located in Berchtesgaden, actually not far from Königssee/Obersee, another beautiful lake is to be found: Lake Hintersee. Quite famous for its rocks with pine trees on them, the place has to offer much more – it’s a breathtaking beautifully one-hour walk through the lake, with amazing sights of the mountains and reflections all around. Getting there very early in the morning, I was able to capture the calmness, sunrise light and mirror-like reflections – definitely worth the trip. Also, my investment in the Canon EF 16-35mm f4 IS totally pays off – the quality I get from it on the full frame is just not comparable to my EF 10-22mm (which is not bad at all either).
It’s really astonishing what beautiful views you can find just a one or two hours drive from home – can’t wait to explore more locations like this, in Bavaria, Austria, and Switzerland. Excited!
