During Winter, I’m always very little motivated to go out to take pictures. That’s a pity actually, because Winter landscapes can be very persuasive. So last weekend, on my birthday weekend actually, my wife and I went to explore some of the nicer sceneries in Bavaria and Tirol: The classic lake Eibsee, its lesser-known little brother Badersee and lake Plansee in Austria.
This trip also gave me the chance to try out my new tripod: Manfrotto’s Beefree Advanced, the aluminum version. So far I really like it – it’s lightweight, durable and I wanted a ball head for quite some time now. Can’t wait to use it more for sunrises and sunsets during the upcoming summer. Even though Winter has some great sights – I’m still more of a summer person.
